What's Inside You - Eleonora Carisi

I am a big fan of Eleonora Carisi's style and was excited to hear about her brand WHAT'S INSIDE YOU, that she founded in collaboration with italian brand Toy for Joy by Cecilia Cordiale.
The pieces are romantic, sometimes a little more edgy, the lines are simple and feminine, very reminiscent of Eleonora's style. Many are great on their own but have a lot of layering potential.
My personal favorites are the maxi dresses from the SS11 collection and the short navy blue lace dress from the FW11 collection. And guess what? the prices are VERY reasonable, you can still purchase some last pieces from past collections here.
SS12 collection is available for wholesale only, at pink milano.

A Few of my Favorites - The Coveteur

I came across Erin Kleinberg and Stephanie Mark's fabulous website "The Coveteur" last September on garancedore.fr
For those of you who don't know of The Coveteur YET, it explores the closets of international fashion elite from a different perspective.
What I find inspiring is the approach of integrating fashion into a space, the way color, placement, texture, size and many other elements are used to create a unique photograph that is both insightful and fun.

I Love a Good Vest

What I love even more about a good vest? Pairing it with a jean shirt and rolling up the sleeves in the most effortless manner.

Show a Little Sleeve

There is something very playful and stylish about sleeve layering, it's a detail that isn't hard to pull off and gives a new dimension to the overall look of your outfit. It could be done by showing some texture, contrasting colors, or fun patterns, I just find it extremely innovative! Your thoughts?

Rock the Polka

I have to admit, I wasn't a big fan of polka dots until last summer when I realized that they didn't have to come with a frilly dress!
What I've learned to love about dots is that they can become a statement if worn with a little bit of edge, the key here is to balance their feminine aspect. In order to do that, you can either add a masculine piece like a tailored jacket or pair of pants or, if you are adventurous, create an element of surprise by wearing polka dot stilettos or tights. Make sure that your dotted piece is the focal point, and work the rest of your outfit around it.

Blog Crush - Into The Gloss

There's something very intimate and intriguing about going into someone's "beauty drawer", which is the idea behind the blog Into The Gloss. And it's not just any someone, it features fashion insiders from models to make-up artists and gives you the scoop on their favorite beauty products and daily routines.
I also find this website very inspiring when it comes to different ways of storing and displaying products.

Top it with a Statement Necklace

So we've seen the Statement Necklace around, it's very in, no doubt about that, but what makes it really special is the way it's being worn: on top of the collar.
This unusual combo has a "clashy" aspect to it that somehow, makes the look very appealing, don't you think?
